Ready, Steady, Bake vegan!
Time & Location
About the Event
Do you have doubts about your baking abilities or the taste of the product? Have you ever tried baking vegan? Time to conquer these doubts and in your own kitchen! Join us for a unique webinar with the incredible baker Na'ama from 'Nama Cake House' for a session of baking, chat and fun.
The vegan baking workshop provides the opportunity to try something new or improve an existing concept. It's my way of introducing you to my vegan world. This is also a way of showing that you can do anything you want as long as you listen, adapt, and implement. Learn a new thing each week. Meet new people and learn from them (cause want to or not, you are being educated by every person you meet). And don't narrow your actions to your own small corner of the world.
So pull your sleeves up, get ready and let's bake vegan...
Oh and what will we bake? Citrus coconut cake with orange syrup
She grew up in a home where baking and cooking played a significant role in her everyday life. Being the daughter of a Moroccan dad and a Yemani mum, she was exposed to wonderful flavours, spices, and colors. Since she was about 8 years old, she has been cooking and baking with her mom and when both she and her husband went vegan about 9 years ago, it only made sense for her to convert her recipes to veganism. From there, it naturally evolved into a business, and then into a Vegan bakery in Camden Market.
After the bakery in Camden Market closed due to covid, she started Nama Cake House and began my new adventure....
A personal message from Nama:
Whitney Houston once said: "I decided long ago never to walk in anyone's shadows. If I fail, if I succeed, at least I'll live as I believe". And it has stuck with me. I believe in uniqueness, honesty, trust, respect, peace and - excel!
So be a human being but be smart about it. Know the basics of business principles and implement them in your business using your own unique way - cause the business is you.
What costumers said about Nama:
Thank you Nama, for the most delicious vegan Russian honey cake and going above and beyond to get the cake to me on time! - Unfortunately the delivery company messed up the shipping of the cake so Nama contacted me and made another fresh cake and offered to drive it to me so it would arrive in time for my partner's birthday. I really couldn't recommend her enough not only because the cake was soo delicious but because she was so attentive and reliable in a moment when I was freaking out thinking I wouldn't have a cake, but she was a super star. Thank you again Nama, I can't wait to order again! (S. Howlett)
